I'm pretty sure all these are available on youtube, that's where I found them, I know there's one on Harold Shipman but honestly I found it pretty dull and didn't think James Bolam was that great. Alun Armstrong is great as George Oldfield and they cast the perfect guy to play the Ripper, he's only in it at the very end but he looks so staggeringly pathetic and normal. I think it's a little too kind to George Oldfield, the guy who lead much of the investigation, given that his fixation with the hoax tape cost lives, but it doesn't make him overly heroic either. I think it portrays the troubles facing the police very well, not shying away from calling out their techniques as completely unsuitable and highlighting the fact that yes, they did care less about the prostitute victims. I'm also not the biggest fan of Brian Dennehy's take on Gacy but that really is just personal preference and he is in no way distracting and suitably menacing.
